BIOGRAPHY
Chandra Prakash Barala is a Senior Researcher at FSRG. He has recently submitted his doctoral thesis at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, focusing on demand-side flexibility from integrated energy systems. His research interests include demand-side flexibility, thermodynamic modelling of buildings, integrated power and cooling system modelling, virtual energy storage systems, and distribution system operations.
He holds an M.Tech. in Power Systems Management from MNIT Jaipur and is a recipient of the POSOCO Power System Research Award for master’s thesis. During his PhD, he served as a Visiting Scholar at Cardiff University, UK. He also represented India at the BRICS Young Scientist Forum in the thematic area of Environmental and Climate Technologies. Engaging in interdisciplinary research, he actively collaborates with M.Tech. scholars on peer-to-peer energy trading, distribution system analysis, and EV charging management. He has contributed to the field through publications in multiple reputable international journals and conferences.
