A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between The Power Foundation of India (PFI) and FSR Global Council (FSR Global) to work together to support India’s transition towards a cleaner energy future.

Under the MoU, FSR Global shall support and jointly work with PFI in its research and analysis in areas such as Energy Transition, managing transition-related Regulatory Development, furthering Renewable Energy, etc., and capacity-building activities in mutually agreed areas. This MoU intends to provide an overarching framework under which collaborations and partnerships may be developed between the two organisations in the areas of sustainable development of the Power Sector.

The MoU was signed at a function in New Delhi by Dr Sambit Basu, Head (Research), on behalf of the Power Foundation of India and Ms Swetha Ravi Kumar, Executive Director, on behalf of FSR Global in the presence of the Director General of Power Foundation, Shri Sanjiv Nandan Sahai (Former Secretary Ministry of Power, GoI) on 19th January 2024.

Power Foundation of India (PFI) is a think-tank and a policy advocacy body in the Power Sector. It is a society under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The Foundation undertakes independent, evidence-based research on issues and challenges pertaining to the Power Sector and designs and executes campaigns and outreach programs on themes relevant to the sector.

FSR Global is a Section-8 not-for-profit organization registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India and has been working to support India in developing a Regulatory and Policy framework focused on the Energy Sector, including Power, Gas and other end-use sectors.
